indrid cold is my very own brand, taking vintage and secondhand clothing items and printing unique designs onto them. i needed an e-commerce website to post and archive my items onto. i wanted a place to bring customers into the world of indrid cold, an experience beyond just an e-commerce platform.

indrid cold needed a website, not only for posting and promoting my products, but to immerse the customer in the world of indrid cold via online experience and branding.
- build a website that has proper functionality as an e-commerce platform
- update branding by creating original content and graphic design
- expand the e-commerce platform into a unique experience for customers
i researched general e-commerce competitors and brands that produced similar products and analyzed their websites. i wanted to take the feel of a well-established brand and bring that to my small business, while keeping the approachability and eclectic tone that small businesses bring. to do this, i separated my approach into two sections:
i chose a dark background to reflect the outer space themes in my work, with light text and images to attract focus. as much as the website should reflect branding, it should also remain informational and trustworthy. authenticity would be reflected by an about page reflecting my process, and a contact page where customers can ask questions or get in contact.
product pages should also include as much information as possible about care, process, and the garments themselves. the product images should be detailed but also reflect the branding that is included in the rest of the website. i chose a dark background for these images as well, to blend in with the rest of the website and create a wholistic look.

- add additional pages with more information on my process
- expand interaction to create a more immersive experience
